Subject: Loch Ness Monster

Stats:
The loch Ness monster is by far one of the most popular Cryptids in the world, and quite possibly the biggest mystery on planet earth. The first ever reported sighting of Nessie was in 565 AD by St. Columba, when the ferocious monster attempted to attack a swimmer but was frightened away by Columba's voice. the next reported sighting was in 1871, but there wasn't much proof behind it. It wasn't until 1933, when a road was built beside the Loch, that reports started flooding in of something large dwelling in this narrow lake. Since then many expiditions were made to search for the beast, but all have been in vain.

Personal:
I believe that Nessie and all other lake monsters(Champ, ogopogo, ETC) are in fact Plesiosaurs. I also believe that there are caves and tunnels on the side of the Loch that could possibly lead out to the ocean, which may explain why the monster has not been found yet. If this is so, could also be possible with other lakes that have see monsters? I know that the possibility of of these ancient creatures travelling through underground river systems may be a stretch in imagination, but it might be just the truth behind finding these hidden magnificent giants and end a millenium long mystery.

Cool! I had tried coloring my first picture of the Loch Ness Monster I was going to post, but it sucked by mixing the wrong colors, so nice work and theories to.

Thanks.
Thats the trouble sometimes if you use colored pencils. when you mix colors, sometimes it just doesn't work.

I believe some lake monsters are of species other than Plesiosaurus, one we haven't yet discovered even by fossil remians. But it's a great picture. Could you draw the Mappinguari?

Ya, I know. Its just I changed my mind mid way through to add another color and it just looked terrible. I added this to the list. As I plan to do for everyone's.

Yeah, that's my prob sometimes. I almost thought i did it with my Nessie when I added the green to him. You see, originally he was going to be grey but I decided to go over the grey with green to add more color.

I tried combining blue and gree at first, then I thought adding brown would make it look better..... It didn't.

It's a creature in South America. Largely thought to be a giant Ground Sloth, or Megatherium. It's bulit like a bear, around ten feet high at the shoulder, and has massive meathook claws. They say if you see its reflection in the water there's a chance you'll escape, but if you look it in the eye you're a goner.
